The International Perspectives on Assessing World Languages (IPAWL) conference is organized by the American University in Cairo (AUC). IPAWL is jointly organized by the  AUC Department of Applied Linguistics, the Department of Arabic Language Instruction, and the Department of English Language Instruction, in collaboration with the Fulbright Commission and the Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo (NVIC). The conference targets assessment specialists and language professionals working with various languages in different parts of the world. IPAWL will be held at AUC Tahrir Square in Downtown Cairo from January 27- January 28, 2020.
